Natural Solutions Clinical Support

How do you import Custom Lists to your computer without losing your client data and your existing custom test(s)?

This feature is designed to allow you to copy items from some one else's custom list into your custom list without having to add each item and descriptions yourself.  This feature is NOT for importing protocols.  Refer to Article Importing Natural Solutions Protocols without losing your client data, custom lists and custom tests.

You will need a blank USB (Thumb/Flash) drive, and Qest4 installed on your computer in order to complete this process

Open Qest4 program

  • Click on Create Tests (bottom on left margin menu)

Once tests have finished loading

  • Click on ‘Import / Export on the bottom of the middle column
  • Click on Export on the top left
    • Pop-up will display ‘Export Complete
    • Click ‘OK’

Close your Qest4 program

Open File Explorer

  • Find Windows (C:) or OS (C:) on the left menu and click on it
  • Find and open the Qest4 folder. (DO NOT OPEN THE PROGRAM)

When you have opened the Qest4 folder look for an Import/Export Folder

  • Right click on the Import/Export folder and left click on copy
  • Insert your blank USB Drive
  • Find and open the USB Drive in File Explorer on the left margin menu of the File Explorer
    • Right click in the empty folder and left click paste

You can now remove your USB Drive and insert it into your new computer.

On the new computer

  • Open your File Explorer and once again find and open the USB Drive in File Explorer on the left margin menu of the File Explorer
  • Right click on the Import/Export folder and left click on copy
    • Find Windows (C:) or OS (C:) on the left menu and click on it
  • Find and open the Qest4 folder. (DO NOT OPEN THE PROGRAM YET)
    • Right click on an empty space within your Qest4 folder and left click on paste.
  • Open the Qest4 program on your new computer
    • Click on Create Tests (bottom on left margin menu)

There should not be any tests in the custom list box

  • Click on ‘Import / Export on the bottom of the middle column

Notice that your custom lists should be in the Import Custom list box on the left hand side

  • Select all the custom tests that you would like to be imported onto your new computer
  • Click on ‘Import’ on the bottom left

All of your selected custom tests should now be in the Custom List box on the bottom right
